6 Online Dating Safety Tips
by DatingBetter.com

Meeting someone online is just like meeting people in person. Here are some basic, but often skipped, tips on meeting someone online...
  1. If someone starts being aggressive, disrespectful, or controlling towards you, take that as a warning sign and cut communication or block that person.
  2. Be cautious about giving your email address, phone number, home address, work information, or full name.
  3. If you choose to phone someone, but are not 100% sure about them yet, then call with a blocked number or use a pay phone.
  4. Take time getting to know the person to build comfort and trust before you meet them.
  5. When you go on a first date, always choose a public and safe venue. Avoid remote areas. A good first date location is a Starbucks or some other busy coffee shop.
  6. Always go with your gut feeling; if you think something is weird then walk away.
